ECI Speech Language Pathologist - Part Time

Salary Range:$40.17 To 41.37 Hourly (DOE)

This position operates within the five county service area.  The position is responsible for Interdisciplinary team membership (IDT) in eligibility determinations, evaluations and participation in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), direct and indirect therapy services, and assistive technology evaluations and services.   This position will provide treatment in addition to consultative services for children receiving developmental services (DS). Services include: planning, periodic re-assessment to determine progress, written progress notes and updates, and the full range of instruction and modeling for staff Early Intervention Specialists, the caregiver, parent, and any others involved and/or concerned with the child’s developmental progress.  Other duties include parent education and supports to enable families to reinforce the strategies of their IFSP.  The position operates within all applicable Center, Program, and funding source requirements, working under the supervision of the ECI Director with latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. SLP must meet established performance targets Professionalism in the position is mandatory.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Requires a minimum of a valid, Texas SLP (Speech/Language Pathology) license or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) and must be able to be enrolled in and reimbursable as a provider in all 3rd-party public and private insurers.  

-Desire some experience with the pediatric population.  

-Must be computer savvy; possess positive interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.  

-This professional will have the ability to successfully function independently as well as within a team concept.  

-Must be easily adaptable in a changing work environment, possess the ability to role-release with other professionals and families, have solid organization skills, possess the ability to internalize and operate using Early Childhood Intervention’s philosophies, work well in a non-traditional model of therapeutic intervention, and be task-completion and detail oriented. 

-An innovative thinker with a positive, professional outlook is paramount for this position.
