Staff Development/Credentialing Coordinator

Salary Range:$17.59 To $19.88 Hourly (DOE)

The Human Resources Staff Development and Credentialing Coordinator reports to the Director of Human Resources.  Responsible for computer-based and classroom training of all Center employees, volunteers, student interns and contract service providers.  Is a competent instructor of CPR, First Aid, PMAB, and Van Driver Training.  Evaluates training effectiveness and ensures employee competence through testing.   Assesses and analyzes the training needs for the Center based on Texas Administrative Code.  Formulates learning objectives, develops new training programs, and evaluates training effectiveness.  Administers all aspects of the application and credentialing process.  Is Coordinator of the Credentialing Committee.  Maintains all records relative to training, credentials, and certifications.  Develops and monitors service contracts with external classroom instructors.  Provides technical support for the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and online training system.  Acts as project leader in HR system updates, changes and modifications.  Assists with ensuring data integrity, report writing, and analyzing data.  Develops guidelines and trains HRIS users on new processes.  Coordinates and conducts New Employee Orientation training. Ensures adequate training equipment and supplies.  Assists the Unit in promoting excellent customer service, and assists the team with daily office coverage to include various tasks and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, experience providing training will be considered.

• Prior public speaking, teaching, and/or HRD experience preferred.  

• Knowledge of training program design, presentation and evaluation. 

• Must get certification in CPR and PMAB training within 2 months of starting. 

• Understanding of HR processes.  

• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem solving skills.  

• Considerable knowledge of computer operations and systems analysis.  

• Ability to solve problems related to computer system software and operations.  

• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.  

• Must have a superior ability to plan, set priorities and manage several complex projects simultaneously.  

• Self-motivating with ability to work with little supervision.    

 

Will be eligible for a one and two year step increase, depending on satisfactory performance.
