Accounting Specialist

             On the Accounting team, you will be primarily responsible for daily reconciliation of cash for several companies, researching cash discrepancies, communicating with internal departments, assisting with record maintenance, preparing reports, and generally ensuring that the Accounting Departments operations are running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized with an eye for detail, has a high level of accuracy, strong computer skills and an understanding and ability to maintain proper accounting procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile cash
  • Research and resolve cash discrepancies
  • Process daily bank returns and chargebacks
  • Maintain appropriate revenue recognition and customer balances in subscription software
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis of accounts, as required
  • Access computerized financial information to respond appropriately to internal requests.
  • Maintain and ensure proper storage of documents through electronic document imaging systems
  • Other duties may be assigned to ensure the Accounting Department runs smoothly and efficiently

 

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 Excel skills required
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a group setting
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency
  • Excellent time management and skilled multi-tasker
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Highest level of integrity
