Description

Join the Abilene Chamber’s Military Affairs Council Luncheon as retired Major General John Nichols, the Vice President of Military Affairs, introduces Dyess Air Force Base’s new commanders: Col. Robert Sturgill, Jr., Commander of the 7th Bomb Wing, and Col. Christopher Welch, Commander of the 317th Airlift Wing.  The luncheon will feature special guest speaker Major General Ty W. Neuman, Commander of the Eighth Air Force and the Joint-Global Strike Operations Center at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. “The Mighty Eighth” oversees the U.S. Air Force’s bomber force and airborne nuclear command-and-control assets, supporting approximately 24,000 Airmen across six installations.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from senior military leaders and welcome the new commanders serving at Dyess Air Force Base.
