Quality Management Coordinator

Salary Range: $19.38 To 21.42 Hourly, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

This position is responsible for Quality Management activities for the Center. This position serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer and the Client Rights Officer for the Center. Additionally, this position takes the lead in ensuring compliance with TAC, HHSC Performance Contract requirements, external and internal audits and communication with external parties regarding rule, law, and contract clarifications. This position services on committees, whose purpose is related to QM functions, including the Quality Management committee and the Utilization Management committee. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative activities in support of the Quality Management and Utilization Management departments. As part of the Quality Management this position will provide staff training in a classroom setting or on an individual basis and may include Netsmart MyAvatar NX training, treatment plan training/person directed plan, progress note training, Illness & Recovery Management training among other trainings as the need arises. These tasks are performed under the Chief Administrative Officer and require the use of initiative, sound judgment and effective written and verbal communication skills.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred. Requires a minimum of five years’ experience in a direct care of persons with a serious mental illness and/or children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances, including experience in an acute care setting and with persons with intellectual disabilities.  Years of demonstrated experience may be substituted for education requirements. 

• Must have experience/knowledge of IDD and ECI services.

• Demonstrate understanding of psycho-pharmacology, medical/psychiatric co-morbidity and complications of serious mental illness through training and/or experience.

• Must have one year experience in program oversight of mental health care services. 

• Must demonstrate competence in performing utilization management and review activities. 

• Must demonstrate competency in usage of standard office computer software (Excel, Word, Etc.)

• Must possess a Texas Driver’s license and be an insurable driver.
