Finance Director - Noah Project, Inc.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Noah Project, Inc. and Noah Project Foundation per applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. Maintain and provide financial information to allow for educated economic decisions to be made concerning daily and strategic organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

· Maintain financial and accounting system entries and controls to ensure timely reports to funders, the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and NP Foundation Board

· Responsible for all financial reporting for Noah Project Foundation, including monthly financial statement preparation.

· Maintain and oversee government reporting deadlines as appropriate, including tax reporting

· Manage cash and other funds to ensure financial stability

· Compile actual operational and financial results, including budgeting, tax and audit activities

· Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis if applicable

· Oversee and assist the accounting firm conducting annual audit

· Communicate with financial institutions and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of ACH transactions

· Review and analyze financial data

· Work with Executive Director and Administrative Director on financial and strategic planning

· Assist the Executive Director, Advocacy Director, and other staff with financial information for grant applications and required reports to grantors

· Prepare and update grant budgets as needed throughout the year

· Compile and analyze surveys and quarterly reports, including grant reports promptly

· Work laterally with and collaborate with the Administrative Director on overlapping responsibilities

· Stay up-to-date on accounting, funding, and grant updates

· Review and follow document retention guidelines

· Function and participate as part of the Management Team

· Assist with Noah Project special events (example: golf tournament & auction)

· Communicate appropriately and positively with co-workers and others

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director

· Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills

· Demonstrated understanding of management issues

· Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
