AMA TechTel is one of the largest telecommunications providers in west Texas, offering business class Voice, Internet, and Managed Network services. The company is hiring for the position of Account Executive to join its commercial sales group. The position is based in Abilene, TX, but with opportunities to sell state-wide.

Account Executive will sell customized telecommunication services to business clients and is accountable for meeting or exceeding sales goals.


  • Provide excellent customer service to new and existing accounts
  • Promote and sell AMA's business class Voice, Internet, and Managed Services
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
  • Prospect and generate new sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strategic accounts
  • Generate proposals and presentations for potential customers
  • Partner with internal support teams to determine appropriate customer solutions
  • Negotiates pricing, service level, and contract terms with clients
  • Ensure product pricing is consistent with pricing structures set at the corporate level and competitive environment
  • Communicate with efficiently with cross functional teams
  • Ensures customer satisfaction throughout sales cycle
  • Update and maintain customer records in sales tracking tools


  • Three years outside sales experience
  • Proficient using Windows-based software applications
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong people and relationship management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to analyze accurately with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Ability to comply with all Company safety procedures
  • Appropriate valid driver's license and driving record within Company standards

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Consultative selling experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual/Española
