SUMMARY:11.3.20 ABIChat Luncheon Sponsored by Community Foundation of Abilene
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our third and final ABIChat luncheon of 2020 sponsored by the Community Foundation of Abilene! The theme of ABIChat for 2020 will be "from good to great." Through this series\, we'll explore and learn about how different community leaders took their leadership abilities and community projects from good to great!\n\n\n\nThe final speaker in this year's luncheon series is Hendrick Health System President & CEO\, Brad Holland. \n\n\n\nFor more than 20 years\, Brad Holland has served in leadership positions in hospitals across the southwest. In his prior roles\, Brad held two Chief Executive Officer (CEO) positions in Texas. He was CEO of San Angelo Community Medical Center\, a 171-bed\, $125 million net revenue hospital in West Texas. During his nearly four-year tenure\, he worked to bring the medical staff together under a shared vision and mission\, specifically focused on quality\, operations and results. \n\n\n\nMost recently\, Brad served as CEO of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center\, located 25 miles north of Austin in one of the fastest growing communities in the nation. The hospital was a joint venture with Ascension Seton Healthcare and Community Health Systems\, which brought a rare blend of for-profit and non-profit ownership\, along with unique opportunities and challenges. As the hospital's top executive for more than six years\, he focused on the cultural foundation necessary to facilitate a highly functioning leadership team\, while pursuing new service lines\, and working with a metropolitan medical staff of more than 850 physicians. \n\n\n\nSince January 2019\, Brad has served as the President & CEO of Hendrick Health System\, a milestone reached by only four other leaders in the organization's 95-year history. He was drawn to this opportunity because of his West Texas roots\, the hospital's faith-based mission\, the independence and board governance structure\, the long and stable history of leadership and the reputation of the community and facility. \n\n\n\nBeyond his work at the hospital\, he is involved as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also serves on the Texas Hospital Association's (THA) Executive Committee of Board of Trustees. Brad is a family man. He and his wife\, Julianna\, have been married for 21 years\, and they have two boys\, Gardner (13) and Griggs (11). He is often times heard saying that "Hendrick's best days are ahead\," when asked what was the biggest surprise in the new job. \n\n \n\nSafety Protocols \n\nHere at the Abilene Chamber\, we're committed to creating and providing an environment where you feel comfortable. We know you're eager to get out and market your business so with guidance from local leadership\, our team will walk you through five principles we've adopted for upcoming events. It is our hope that with these principles\, our partners will be able to resume networking while creating a safe space for yourself and those around you. Click here for our video.\n\n\n	We're limiting the entrance of events to just one area so proper temperature checks and hand sanitation can take place before anyone enters the building.\n	To protect your health and the health of others\, masks will be required and will be on-hand for those who do not have one. We know that not all will feel the comfortable in a mask\, but in order to get back to some sort of "normalcy" it's a step we feel that we need to take to help ensure you remain healthy.\n	We'll have multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility as well as signage encouraging one way traffic down aisle at Business Expo and Business Mercado.\n	Unsure of if the person you're wanting to visit with is physically distancing? We'll have colored bracelets on-hand to help you communicate to those around you which measures you are practicing. A red will mean no contact\, yellow elbows only while still being cautious\, blue hi-five and handshakes with frequent sanitizing.\n	We're boosting up our signage throughout events to help remind everyone in attendance of proper public health guidelines.\n\nProtecting the health and safety of everyone at our events is a shared responsibility and we know you as our valued partner stand ready to do your part. Let's take more steps toward economic recovery\, together. \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note: This event is being photographed and/or videotaped and your image may be used in connection with the advertising and promotion of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
